Advice: The bonnet struts should be replaced one at a time. If the struts are so weak that they are no longer able to hold the bonnet, secure it in the open position by any means available.
Removal
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Open the hood with an open-end wrench by 13 mm unscrew the ball joints of the lower and upper gas strut mounts (do not lose the lock washers on the pins).

3. Remove the gas strut.
Installation
We install the stop in the reverse order.
Similarly, we replace the gas strut on the right side of the hood.
