Removal
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Open the hood and place a support underneath it.
3. Disconnect the windshield washer reservoir tube from the tee.
4. Remove the rubber seal and take the washer tube out of the hood.
5. By any available means (with a felt-tip pen, marker) we mark the position of the bolt heads on the hood.
6. With an assistant, on both sides of the hood, while simultaneously supporting it from below, with a socket wrench by 8 mm we unscrew two bolts securing the hood to the hinges.
7. Remove the hood from the car, simultaneously removing the support.
Installation
1. Install the hood in reverse order.
2. Before tightening the mounting bolts, align their heads with the previously made marks on the hood.
Adjustment
If a new hood is installed, we adjust its position in the opening. The holes in the hood for its mounting bolts allow you to change the position of the hood within the body opening.
1. Install the hood and tighten the bolts that secure it, without tightening them.
2. Lower the hood and adjust its position in the body opening. The gaps between the front fenders and the hood should be uniform and identical, and the radius of curvature of its front part should match the radius of curvature of the fenders.
3. Carefully open the hood and tighten the bolts that secure it.
4. If the rear of the hood is below the top edge of the front fenders, loosen the rear hood mounting bolts and lift the rear of the hood to the required amount, then tighten the bolts.
5. The height adjustment of the front edge of the hood is carried out by rubber stops. By unscrewing the stops, we raise the front edge of the hood, by turning it - we lower it.
6. Install the safety hook and hood lock retainer.
