Removal
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Bend back the bent end of the lock drive rod (1) and lift the locking ring (2) of the rod up (for clarity, shown with the instrument panel removed).
3. Straighten the lock drive rod and disconnect it from the handle.
4. Remove the seal and route the draft into the air intake box.
5. Remove the casing tip and hole seal from the rod.

6. We pass the rod through the hole in the engine compartment partition.
7. Disconnect the two holders of the traction casing from the body.
8. Remove the front end of the rod from the hood lock spring loop.
9. Remove the traction casing from the stop.
10. Remove the rod assembly with the casing from the vehicle.
Installation
We install the hood lock drive rod in the reverse order.
