Removal
1. Prepare the vehicle for operations (see "Preparing a car for maintenance and repair").
2. Mark the position of the lock relative to the body bracket.
3. Using a slotted screwdriver, remove the two lock rod casing retainers from the holes in the body (the photo shows one clamp).
4. Straighten the bent end of the rod and move the locking sleeve.
5. Disconnect the rod from the hood lock lever.
6. With a socket wrench by 10 mm we unscrew the two nuts securing the lock.

7. Remove the lock from the studs, removing the rod from its hole.
8. In the car (through the hole in the handle of the lock drive) using pliers, pull the rod out of the casing.
9. In the engine compartment, under the left hood buffer, pry up the sealing sleeve of the casing and pull out the casing.
Installation
1. Install the lock and drive rod in the reverse order according to the previously applied marks.
2. If necessary, adjust the position of the lock by loosening the tightening of its fastening nuts.
