Note: It is more convenient to unscrew the generator lower mounting bolts in an inspection pit or overpass, having removed the right side of the engine splash guard. If necessary, this work can be done from above, from the engine compartment.
Removal
1. Disconnect the wire ends from the generator (see "Voltage Regulator - Checking and Replacing").
Recommendation: Before removing the alternator belt, mark the direction of its rotation with an arrow.
2. Remove the generator drive belt (see "Generator Drive Belt - Replacement").
3. With a spanner by 10 mm we unscrew the adjusting bolt and remove it from the upper generator bracket. We remove the tension bar.

4. With a socket or open-end wrench by 15 mm unscrew the three bolts securing the lower generator bracket (for clarity, shown from below the car).

5. Remove the generator assembly with the bracket from the engine compartment.

6. Unscrew the nut of the generator lower mounting bolt. Remove the bolt from the generator bracket. Remove the bracket from the generator.

Installation
We install the generator in the reverse order.
After installing the generator, adjust the tension of its drive belt (see "Generator Drive Belt - Checking Condition and Adjusting Tension").
