Note: It is more convenient to unscrew the bolts of the lower mounting of the generator on an inspection hole or overpass by removing the right side of the engine mudguard. If necessary, this work can be done from above from the engine compartment.
Removing
1. Disconnect the wire ends from the generator (see "Voltage regulator - check and replacement").
Recommendation: Before removing the alternator belt, mark the direction of rotation with an arrow.
2. Remove the alternator drive belt (see "Alternator drive belt - replacement").
3. Ring wrench by 10 mm unscrew the adjusting bolt and remove it from the top bracket of the generator. We remove the tension bar.
4. Socket or box wrench by 15 mm unscrew the three bolts securing the lower bracket of the generator (for clarity shown below the car).
5. Remove the generator assembly with the bracket from the engine compartment.
6. We unscrew the nut of the bolt of the lower mounting of the generator. Remove the bolt from the alternator bracket. Remove the bracket from the generator.
Installation
Install the generator in reverse order.
After installing the generator, adjust the tension of its drive belt (see "Alternator drive belt - condition check and tension adjustment").
