The car body is all-metal, load-bearing, hatchback type.
Power unit (engine with clutch, gearbox and final drive assembled into a single unit) located transversely in the front part of the car. The clutch drive is cable. The gearbox is mechanical, five-speed, made in one housing with the main gear and differential.
Drives - shafts with constant velocity joints transmit torque from the power unit to the front drive wheels.
The front suspension is independent, MacPherson type. The rear suspension is on two longitudinal levers connected by an elastic cross beam, with cylindrical springs and hydraulic telescopic shock absorbers.
The vehicle's service brake system with dual-circuit diagonal hydraulic drive has a built-in vacuum booster. The front wheel brakes are disc brakes, while the rear ones are drum brakes. The parking brake with cable drive acts on the brake shoes of the rear wheel brake mechanisms.
The steering is equipped with a trauma-safe steering column with tilt adjustment. The steering mechanism is rack and pinion.
All vehicle systems are described in more detail in the relevant chapters.
This section reflects the design of cars as of 2007.
Warning! Some vehicles have a catalytic converter and oxygen sensor built into the exhaust system. A vehicle with a catalytic converter can only be fueled with unleaded gasoline.
