To complete the work, you will need a ruler or tape measure.
Examination
1. We prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. With a ruler or tape measure, measure the distance from the floor to the outer surface of the clutch pedal.
3. Press the pedal all the way to the floor and repeat the measurements.
Recommendation: If the pedal travel is more than 150 mm, adjust the clutch release actuator.
Adjustment
1. In the engine compartment, holding the adjusting nut (2) key by 13 mm, With the second wrench, unscrew the locknut a few turns (1). By tightening or unscrewing the adjusting nut, we ensure that the clutch pedal stroke is 125-135 mm (see fig. "Clutch").
2. Holding the adjusting nut (2), tighten the locknut.
3. Press the clutch pedal 3-4 times until it hits the floor.
4. Check the clutch pedal travel again. Repeat the adjustment if necessary.
