If the working stroke of the clutch pedal differs from that shown in the figure (see Fig. "Clutch"), it is necessary to adjust the length of the cable.
To complete the work you will need a ruler or tape measure.
Examination
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").

2. Using a ruler or tape measure, measure the distance from the floor to the outer surface of the clutch pedal.
3. Press the pedal all the way to the floor and repeat the measurements.
Recommendation: If the pedal travel is more than 150 mm, adjust the clutch release drive.
Adjustment
1. In the engine compartment, hold the adjusting nut (2) with a wrench by 13 mm, using the second same key, unscrew the lock nut (1) by several turns. By screwing or unscrewing the adjusting nut, we achieve that the clutch pedal travel is 125-135 mm (see Fig. "Clutch").
2. While holding the adjusting nut (2), tighten the lock nut.
3. Press the clutch pedal 3-4 times until it hits the floor.
4. Check the clutch pedal travel again. Repeat the adjustment if necessary.
