In practice, you can check the parking brake adjustment by placing the car on a level surface. Raise the parking brake lever all the way and try to move the car with all your might. If you succeed, then the parking brake needs to be adjusted.
Check the lever travel. If the lever travel is more than 8 clicks, the parking brake will not hold the car on the descent. If the lever travel is less than 2 clicks, then there is a possibility of braking the rear wheels while driving. In both cases, the parking brake must be adjusted.
You will need: a 13 mm wrench and pliers.
1. Loosen the cable equalizer lock nut.
2. Tighten the equalizer adjusting nut until the parking brake cable is tensioned. If the cable cannot be tensioned, it must be replaced.

3. Check the full travel of the parking brake lever - the lever should move 2-4 clicks.
4. After this, tighten the equalizer lock nut.
5. Lower the parking brake lever all the way and turn the rear wheels. They should rotate freely, without jamming.
