You will need a 19 mm wrench.
1. Disconnect the wire from the "–" terminal of the battery.
2. Drain the liquid from the engine cooling system radiator (see "Replacing the coolant").
Note: To replace the sensor, you don't have to drain all the liquid; it's enough to reduce its level in the system by draining only from the radiator.
3. Press the lock and disconnect the wiring harness connector from the sensor.

4. Loosen the sensor tightening…

5. …and unscrew the sensor from the exhaust pipe of the cylinder head.

6. Check the sensor by placing it in a container with coolant. While heating the container and monitoring the temperature, measure the sensor resistance with a tester at different temperature values (see table).

7. Install the temperature sensor in the reverse order of removal. Fill with coolant and check the cooling system for leaks.
