1. Disconnect the wire from the "–" terminal of the battery.
2. Release the lock and disconnect the wiring harness connector from the throttle position sensor.
3. Remove the two screws securing the sensor to the throttle assembly…

4. …and remove the sensor together with the foam gasket.
5. To check the sensor's serviceability, measure the resistance between contacts "2" and "3" of the sensor connector (the contact markings are applied to the socket). Move the throttle valve from the fully closed position to the fully open position. In a working sensor, the resistance should change uniformly within the range of 2.7–8.2 kOhm.
6. Install the sensor on the throttle assembly in the reverse order of removal. Replace the foam sealing ring if necessary.
