Rear Brake Hose — Replacement (VAZ-2104)

To complete the work you will need an assistant and a special key by 10 mm for brake pipes, transparent vinyl tube of suitable diameter, container for draining brake fluid, fresh brake fluid (see "Operating fluids").

Removal

1. Place the vehicle on an inspection pit or overpass (see "Preparing a car for maintenance and repair").

2. With a special key by 10 mm for brake pipes, unscrew the pipe fitting, holding it with a wrench by 17 mm hose tip.



3. To reduce the loss of brake fluid, put a protective cap on the end of the tube (from the brake cylinder bleed nipple).

4. Using pliers, remove the clamp securing the hose.





5. Key by 15 mm we unscrew the tip of the hose from the tee and remove the hose.

Installation

1. Install the rear brake hose in reverse order.

2. Bleed the rear circuit of the brake mechanisms (see "Hydraulic brake drive - bleeding and replacing brake fluid").
