Starting a cold engine
1. Insert the key into the ignition switch and turn it to the "1". At the same time, the heating of the glow plugs begins and the corresponding indicator in the instrument panel lights up.
2. After turning off the signaling device, indicating that the glow plugs have reached the operating temperature, turn on the starter without pressing the accelerator pedal.
If the engine does not start on the first try, turn the key to the "0" and after about a minute, reheat the spark plugs and turn on the starter. It is not recommended to turn on the starter for more than 10 s.
3. After starting the engine, pull out the handle of the UOVT corrector and sink it after the engine warms up.
Reliable engine start without additional starting devices is provided up to minus 25°С.
Hot engine start
The procedure for starting a hot engine follows the recommendations for starting a cold engine, only it is not necessary to use the handle of the corrector for this.
