To carry out this operation, loosen the rear wheel mounting bolts, set the stops under the front wheels and hang out the rear axle. Release the parking brake and place the shift lever in neutral, remove the wheels and brake drums.
Attach tool 02.7834.9504 2 to the axle shaft (pic. 133). Having passed the indicator leg extension 1 through one of the two large holes of the axle shaft until it stops in the brake shield or in the oil deflector, fix the indicator and, applying a force of about 5 kgf to the axle shaft flange in both directions along the axis of the rear axle, measure the free play of the axle shaft, which should not exceed 0.7 mm.
