Adjusting the heater control (VAZ-21051)

1. Remove the heater control lever trim.

2. Set the levers of the valve and the air intake cover to the fully closed position, and the flaps of the air duct of the windshield heater to the fully open position and check the distance between bracket 3 (see Fig. Heater control levers) and control levers, which should be 5 mm.

3. If this value does not match, adjust the heater controls.

4. Remove the instrument panel (see subsection 10.5).

5. Loosen the bolts of the brackets 2 and secure the casings of all three rods on the bracket 3 in such a way that the control levers do not reach the end of the bracket by 5 mm when the valve and air intake cover are completely closed, and the air duct flap of the windshield heating system is completely open.

6. Install the instrument panel and heater control lever trim.
