The engines of VAZ-21051 and VAZ-21053 cars have a chain drive of the camshaft and a cylinder diameter of 76 mm. Therefore, there are features in disassembling and assembling the front part of the engine, as well as in repairing the cylinder block, pistons, cylinder head and camshaft drive.
In addition, the VAZ-21053 car is equipped with a carburetor type 2107-1107010, which has slightly different jet diameters and adjustment dimensions.
Otherwise, repair of VAZ-21051 and VAZ-21053 cars is no different from repair of VAZ-2105 cars.
