Front of the engine
2. Install the sprocket onto the crankshaft. Install the oil pump drive shaft and secure it with the thrust flange.

3. Turn the flywheel so that the mark on the crankshaft sprocket aligns with the mark on the cylinder block (the marks are indicated by arrows).

4. Install the sprocket on the camshaft assembled with the bearing housing and turn the shaft so that mark 1 on the sprocket is opposite mark 2 on the bearing housing.

5. Remove the sprocket and, without changing the position of the shaft, install the bearing housing on the cylinder head and secure it by tightening the nuts in the sequence shown in the figure.
6. Install the chain guide on the cylinder head.
7. Install the camshaft drive chain. To do this, place the chain on the camshaft sprocket and insert it into the drive cavity, installing the sprocket so that the mark on it matches the mark on the bearing housing. Do not tighten the sprocket bolt all the way.
8. Install the sprocket onto the oil pump drive shaft, also without completely tightening the mounting bolt.
9. Install the chain tensioner shoe and tensioner without tightening the cap nut so that the tensioner spring can press the shoe; screw the chain limiter pin into the cylinder block.
10. Turn the crankshaft two turns in the direction of rotation to ensure the correct chain tension; check that the marks on the sprockets match the marks on the cylinder block and on the bearing housing.
11. If the marks match, then lock the flywheel with the A.60330/R lock, finally tighten the sprocket bolts, the chain tensioner cap nut and bend back the sprocket bolt lock washers; if the marks do not match, repeat the chain installation operation.
12. Adjust the clearance between the camshaft lobes and the valve drive levers.
13. Install the camshaft drive cover with the gasket and oil seal on the cylinder block without completely tightening the mounting bolts and nuts. Using the 41.7853.4010 drift, center the cover position relative to the end of the crankshaft and finally tighten the nuts and bolts of its mounting.
14. Install the crankshaft pulley and secure it with the nut.
