Engine mount — design description (VAZ-2108)

The engine, together with the clutch, gearbox and final drive, forms a power unit, which is mounted on the vehicle on three elastic supports 2, 3 and 5 (figure 3). The front 5 and left 3 supports are pressed into brackets 6 and 4, respectively, and the rear support 2 is placed on bracket 1. Brackets 1 and 4 of the supports are secured to the gearbox, and bracket 6 is secured to the engine cylinder block.
