Removing
1. We prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the door trim (see "Front door upholstery - removal and installation").
3. Disconnect the outer handle rods from the lock (see "External front door handle - removal and installation").
4. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the two screws securing the inner handle of the lock.
5. Prying off the spring clip with a screwdriver, disconnect the handle rod from the lock (for clarity shown on the removed lock).
6. We take out the handle with traction from the door.
7. Remove the outer part of the castle (see "The outer part of the front door lock - removal and installation").
8. Disconnect the wiring harness pads of the central door lock switch.
9. We take out the lock from the door.
10. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the two screws securing the switch.
11. Having turned the switch until the protrusions on the rod are aligned with the slots in the switch lever, remove the switch from the lock.
12. If necessary, squeezing the antennae of the plastic rod, remove it from the lock.
13. To remove the lock retainer, mark its position on the body pillar.
14. Using an impact screwdriver, unscrew the three screws securing the latch.
15. Remove the lock retainer and shims.
Installation
1. Install the lock in the reverse order, lubricating it with grease.
2. Adjusting the length of the outer handle rods (spinning their plastic tips) and moving the inner handle (within the screw slots), we achieve a clear opening and locking of the lock with a key.
3. We put the lock latch in place, combining the previously made marks, or moving the latch within the slots for the screws of its fastening, we achieve a clear fixation of the door in the closed position and its easy unlocking.
