Removal
1. Drain the coolant (see "Coolant - replacement").
2. Remove the air filter (see "Air filter - removal and installation").
3. Using a Phillips screwdriver, loosen the four clamps securing the thermostat hoses.

4. Disconnect the hoses from the thermostat pipes and remove the thermostat.

Recommendation: You can check the thermostat's functionality by placing it in a container with water heated to a temperature close to boiling point. The thermostat's main valve should open.
Installation
1. Install the thermostat in reverse order.
2. Fill the system with coolant (see "Coolant - replacement").
3. Make sure there is no fluid leakage at the points where the hoses are connected to the thermostat. If necessary, tighten the hose clamps.
