1. Remove the generator from the vehicle (see "Removal and installation the generator").
2. To unscrew the pulley mounting nut, hold the rotor shaft from turning with a hex key. For this purpose, a hex hole is made in the end of the shaft.
3. Install the head on the nut and insert the hex key through its hole into the shaft hole. Unscrew the nut with the head, holding the rotor from turning; remove the spring washer and pulley.
4. Install the new pulley in the reverse order of removal. The spring washer should be installed with the convex side facing the nut. Tighten the nut to 39–62 N·m (3.9–6.2 kgf·m).
