Removal and installation the starter (VAZ-2115)

You will need a 13 mm wrench.

1. Disconnect the wire from the "–" terminal of the battery.

2. Remove the engine crankcase guard (see "Replacing the engine oil pan gasket").

3. Disconnect the connector with the wire from the traction relay



4. Unscrew the nut securing the positive wire tip…



5. …and remove the wire.



6. Unscrew the three nuts securing the starter to the clutch housing…

7. ...and remove the starter.



8. Install the starter in the reverse order of removal.
