For convenience of perception, the process of replacing and adjusting the tension of the alternator drive belt is shown on the removed engine.
According to the manufacturer's data, the alternator drive belt must bend at a force of 98 N (10 kgf) by 10-15 mm.
1. Loosen the alternator fastening nut and the alternator fastening nut to the adjusting bar.
2. Turn the generator to the block and...
3....remove the worn belt.
4. Put a new belt on the alternator and crankshaft pulleys. Adjust the tension of the alternator drive belt by pressing the alternator with a pry bar.
5. Check alternator drive belt tension. Under the force of the thumb, it should bend by 10-15 mm.
6. Tighten the adjusting nut to a torque of 28.6-46.0 Nm (2.86-4.6 kgf·m) and a nut of a bolt of fastening of the generator by the moment 59,0-73,0 N·m (5.9-7.3 kgf·m).
