Helpful Hints: Drain the oil after driving while the engine is warm. If the engine is cold, start and warm it up to operating temperature.
Fill in the same brand of oil that was in the engine. If you still decide to change the brand of oil, flush the lubrication system with flushing oil or oil of the brand that will be used. To do this, after draining the old oil, fill in new oil to the lower mark of the oil level indicator. Start the engine and let it idle for 10 minutes. Drain the oil and only then change the oil filter.
Now you can fill in new oil to the required level (top mark on dipstick).
Warnings! Drain used oil only into a container specially prepared for this.
Do not dump used oil on the ground.
1. Install the car on a flat horizontal platform.
2. Remove the oil filler cap by turning it counterclockwise.
3. Turn out the drain plug on the engine oil sump, after substituting a container under it, and drain the used oil. Close the cork.
4. Unscrew the oil filter with a special key.
Notes:
It looks like a special wrench for unscrewing the oil filter. If there is no such key, and the filter cannot be unscrewed by hand, pierce the filter housing with a screwdriver and, using it as a lever, unscrew the filter. Punch the filter closer to its bottom so as not to damage the fitting on the engine.
5. Before installing a new oil filter, fill it with fresh engine oil to about half its capacity and lubricate the filter o-ring with engine oil.
6. Screw on the new filter by hand without using a tool.
7. Fill in the required amount of new oil and check its level according to the pointer.
The oil level in the crankcase should be near the mark «MAX» (but not above).
Before removing the pointer, wait 2-3 minutes to allow the oil to drain into the crankcase.
8. Replace the filler plug by turning it 90°clockwise.
9. Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes.
10. Stop the engine, check oil level and top up if necessary.
