If the clutch or brake pedals (Fig. 5.6) have a lot of play, this means that the pedal axle bushings are worn out and need to be replaced.
Note: If necessary, also replace broken or stretched pedal return springs.
You will need: a screwdriver, pliers.
1. Remove the retaining clip from the clutch pedal pin.

2. Disconnect the cable end from the clutch pedal.

3. Disconnect the clutch pedal return spring from the bracket.

4. Remove the retaining clip from the brake pedal pin.

5. Remove the brake pedal pin.

6. Disconnect the brake pedal return spring from the bracket.

7. Remove the locking bracket from the pedal axle.

8. Remove the pedal axle from the bracket holes…

9. …and remove the brake pedal with the spacer sleeve from the axle.

10. Finally remove the axle from the bracket together with the clutch pedal. Remove the pedal from the axle and remove the bushings.

11. Install the pedals in the reverse order, having first lubricated the rubbing parts with Litol-24 or LSC-15 grease.
