Location of the clutch release drive and its adjusting assembly in the engine compartment: 1 – clutch drive cable sheath; 2 – torso shell fastening bracket; 3 - adjusting nuts
Adjust the pedal travel by changing the length of the shell 1 (pic. 5.4) cable between the bracket 2 on the gearbox and the clip in the bulkhead with the help of adjusting nuts 3.
With an increase in the length of the shell, the pedal travel increases, and with a decrease, it decreases.
Note.
When tightening the adjusting nut 1, the length of the sheath decreases. When tightening the adjusting nut 2, the length of the shell increases.
1. Measure the full travel of the clutch pedal. To do this, rest the pedal on the floor mat and install the ruler.
2. Release the pedal and measure its full travel at the center of the pedal pad. If the full pedal travel is not correct, adjust the pedal travel.
3. To adjust, loosen one of the adjusting nuts. By tightening the second nut, ensure that the full pedal travel is 125–135 mm. Then tighten this nut to a torque of 15.0–20.0 Nm (1.5–2.0 kgf·m).
