3. Remove the cable end from the clutch pedal.

4. Remove the plastic sleeve of the cable end from the clutch pedal. Check the condition of the sleeve. Replace a worn or damaged sleeve.

5. Use a screwdriver to pry up the brake pedal return spring and...

6....take it off.

7. Use a screwdriver to pry up the brake booster piston pin retaining plate and...

8....take it off.

9. Press the vacuum booster rod pin with a screwdriver and...

10....take your finger out.

11. Use a screwdriver to pry up the locking plate on the clutch and brake pedal axle and...

12....take it off.

13. Disconnect the clutch pedal return spring and remove the clutch and brake pedal shaft together with the clutch pedal.

14. Loosen the brake light switch mounting nut and lock nut and remove the switch.

15. Move the brake light switch to the side and remove the brake pedal together with the spacer sleeve.

16. Remove the bushing from the brake pedal socket. If the bushing does not come off by hand, pry it off with a screwdriver.

17. Remove the spacer sleeve from the brake pedal.

18. Remove the second bushing from the brake pedal socket.

19. If you need to replace the pedal pad, bend the pad flange back from one corner and...

20....remove the cover.

21. Remove the clutch pedal return spring.

22. Remove the axle from the clutch pedal.

23. Remove the bushing from the clutch pedal socket.

24. Remove the second bushing from the clutch pedal socket.

25. Install the new bushings into the pedal sockets and the pedals onto the vehicle in the reverse order of removal, after lubricating them with consistent grease.

26. Check and, if necessary, adjust the travel of the clutch and brake pedals.
