1. Remove the lining of the floor tunnel (see «Removal and installation of floor tunnel lining»).
2. Loosen the nut securing the arm axle, and then remove the five bolts securing the arm base to the floor.
3. Remove the arm with base by removing the rubber protective boot from the base.
4. Take out an axis of the lever with two plastic plugs. If the axle moves freely in the transverse direction in the bushings installed in the lever, then the bushings are worn out, it is time to replace them. Lubricate bushings with grease when installing.
5. To replace the plastic arm bearing, remove it from the spherical lever pin, put grease into the bore of the new bearing and slide the bearing onto the pin.
6. To replace the lever boot, remove the handle by pulling it off the lever.
7. Install the shift lever in reverse order. Tighten all threaded connections with a torque of 16–26 Nm (1.6–2.6 kgf·m).
8. To replace the gearshift drive rod from below the car, loosen the clamp and disconnect the rod from the hinge tip.
9. Turn away a nut of fastening of an axis of the lever of a gear change and take out draft in salon.
