Note: The front wheel drive inner joint seals can be replaced without removing the transmission from the vehicle.
1. Disconnect the front wheel drive on the side of the oil seal being replaced from the gearbox (see "Removal and installation front wheel drives").
Warning! Do not disconnect both front wheel drives at the same time, as the axle gears will shift inside the differential case and it will be impossible to reinstall the drives.
2. Remove the inner joint seal from the gearbox housing using a screwdriver.

3. Using a suitable mandrel, press in the new oil seal with the working edge facing inside the box until it stops.
The reason for the clutch discs becoming oily may be a leak in the primary shaft seal of the gearbox or the rear seal of the crankshaft.
Motor and transmission oils differ in smell. Therefore, by this smell, having a certain skill, it is possible to determine which of the seals is defective: the primary shaft seal or the rear crankshaft seal.
To replace the gearbox primary shaft seal, you must remove the gearbox from the vehicle (see "Removal and installation the gearbox").
1. Remove the clutch release bearing (see "Replacing the clutch release bearing").
2. Remove the three guide bushing mounting bolts (spring washers are installed under the bolt heads). Remove the guide bushing.

3. Using a suitable hook made of thin wire, remove the seal.

The information is published on the website [VAZBOOK.ru]
