Note. The front wheel drive inner joint seals can be replaced without removing the transmission from the vehicle.
1. Disconnect the front wheel drive on the side of the oil seal to be replaced from the gearbox (see «Removal and installation of front wheel drives»).
Warning! Do not disconnect both front wheel drives at the same time, as the side gears will move inside the differential box and the drives will not be able to be reinstalled.
2. Remove the inner joint oil seal from the gearbox housing using a screwdriver.
3. Using a suitable mandrel, press in a new oil seal with the working edge inside the box until it stops.
The reason for oiling the clutch discs may be a leak in the gearbox input shaft oil seal or the crankshaft rear oil seal.
