We remove the bumper to replace its parts or perform body repairs on the rear of the car.
Removal
1. Prepare the vehicle for operations (see "Preparing a car for maintenance and repair").
2. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the screw securing the luggage compartment trim on the right side and remove the trim.
3. Key by 13 mm unscrew the nut of the bumper mounting bracket.
4. With a socket wrench by 22 mm unscrew the lower bumper mounting bolt.
5. We carry out similar work on the right side of the car.
6. To reduce friction of the brackets on the rubber seals when removing the bumper, apply penetrating lubricant or soap solution to the brackets.
7. Remove the bumper brackets from the seals in the body and remove the bumper.
8. Disassemble the rear bumper in the same way as the front one (see "Front bumper - removal and installation").
Installation
Assembly and installation of the bumper is carried out in reverse order.
