Disconnect the wire from the "–" terminal of the battery.

The rear bumper is secured to the rear panel of the body with four nuts (two are shown, the rest are located symmetrically).

The sides of the buffer are attached to the body with special bolts, washers and nuts.

1. Remove the protective cap from the rear fog light housing.

2. Disconnect the wire tip from the rear fog light connector.

3. Unscrew the two screws securing the rear fog light (one of the screws secures the end of the ground wire).

4. Remove the light from the vehicle.

5. Unscrew the nuts (on both sides of the car) side buffer mount...

6....the top mounting nuts and...

7....nuts for the lower buffer mount.

8. Disconnect the license plate light wiring harness and remove the rear bumper from the vehicle.

9. Loosen the screw and remove the lamp wire mounting bracket.

10. Remove the four screws securing the license plate lights.

11. Remove the license plate lights from the rear bumper.

12. Disconnect the wire ends from the lamp contacts.

13. Remove the protective covers of the lights together with the wires. Replace torn and cracked covers.

14. Assemble the rear bumper and install it on the vehicle in the reverse order of removal.
