Battery — General Information (VAZ-2104)

The car is equipped with a 6CT-55 battery (according to GOST 959-2002). The battery is installed on the right side in the front part of the engine compartment. It serves to supply electricity consumers when the engine is not running and to start the engine.

The battery consists of six series-connected batteries, with a voltage of 2 V each. The batteries are placed in isolated sections of the case and are connected in series. The sections of the case are filled with electrolyte and have filler holes closed with plugs. Positive and negative terminals for connecting the car's electrical wiring are located along the edges of the battery case.
