Level check
1. We prepare the car for operations (see "Vehicle preparation for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the oil level indicator (probe) from the guide tube, wipe it with a clean rag and install it into the tube until it stops.
3. Re-take out the dipstick and control the level of the oil film on the pointer, which should be between the marks "MIN" And "MAX".
Attention! Exceeding the oil level in the engine crankcase above the mark "MAX" can cause it to leak through seals, gaskets and the crankcase ventilation system.
If oil enters the combustion chamber of a vehicle with a catalytic converter, it may fail.
4. If the oil level approaches the mark "MIN", add oil recommended by the manufacturer (see "Applications").
Attention! The engine mark is marked on the oil level indicator. Do not use a pointer with other markings.
Replacement
To perform the work, you will need a container for draining oil, with a volume of at least 4 liters.
It is recommended to change the oil when the engine is warm.
1. We install the car on a viewing hole or overpass (see "Vehicle preparation for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the oil filler cap.
3. On a car with an injection system, remove the air filter housing (see "Air filter housing - removal and installation").
Note: According to the maintenance interval, it is necessary to flush the engine lubrication system every 30,000 km. To do this, drain the old oil without unscrewing the oil filter. Fill flushing oil up to the mark "MIN" dipstick, start the engine and let it idle for about 70 minutes (refer to flushing oil manufacturer's recommendations). Drain the flushing oil and replace the oil filter. Fill the engine with engine oil to the required level.
4. Hex key by 12 mm unscrew the drain plug of the oil pan.
5. Drain the oil into a prepared container.
6. Using a puller or by hand, unscrew the oil filter.
7. We clean the threads of the drain plug and wrap the plug.
8. Pour fresh oil into the new filter and lubricate the rubber gasket with it.
9. We screw the filter onto the fitting and after the gasket comes into contact with the mating ring of the block, tighten the filter by 3/4 of a turn.
10. Fill the engine with fresh oil (see "Applications").
11. After waiting 2-3 minutes, remove the dipstick and control the oil level.
12. Install the oil filler cap.
13. We start the engine for a few minutes, after which we stop it and check the oil level and the absence of leaks from under the filter gasket and drain plug.
