- a canopy where the temperature and humidity correspond to the parameters of the environment, there is constant air movement and there is no direct exposure to solar radiation and precipitation;
- heated room (individual garage) with a temperature of at least 5°C and relative humidity of 50-70%, equipped with supply and exhaust ventilation.
If the room is heated (individual garage) has ineffective supply and exhaust ventilation, and the car is used in winter or is stored after washing without preliminary drying, then the destructive effects on protective and decorative coatings increase many times over.
When storing your vehicle in a shelter or unheated area during the winter, remove the battery and radio and store them separately; drain the fluid from the windshield washer reservoirs.
When preparing a vehicle for long-term storage:
- 1. Wash the car and wipe the body dry. Apply a preservative to the body.
- 2. Start and warm up the engine. Stop the engine, remove the spark plugs and pour 25 to 30 g of engine oil heated to a temperature of 70-80°C into each cylinder, then turn the crankshaft 10-15 revolutions and screw in the spark plugs.
- 3. Oiled tape (paper or fabric) seal the outlet hole of the muffler outlet pipe.
- 4. Place the vehicle on stands so that the wheels are raised above the supporting surface.
- 5. Fully charge the battery and store it in a cool, dry place.

Car maintenance during storage (once every two months) is as follows:
- 1. Remove the spark plugs, engage fifth gear in the gearbox, turn the rear wheel 2-3 turns and screw in the spark plugs.
- 2. Turn the steering wheel one to one and a half turns in each direction. Operate (3-5 times) the brake and clutch pedals, the accelerator pedal and the parking brake.
