Increased reliability of fuel equipment units with timely maintenance ensures long-term and trouble-free operation of the engine as a whole.
In the intervals between the services provided for in the service book, for reliable operation of the engine, drain the sediment from the fuel filter, followed by bleeding the fuel system.
To do this, put the hose on fitting 1 (pic. 50) plugs 2 and place a container under the fuel filter. Then loosen plug 2 and let the sediment drain until clean fuel flows. Then wrap the plug, remove the hose and bleed the fuel system.
Bleeding of the fuel system is carried out to fill it with fuel in order to compensate for the drained sludge and to remove air that could have entered when the sludge was drained. To do this, remove the plug from the nozzle fitting of the fourth cylinder and put a hose on it. Then unscrew the stem 3 of the pump and periodically pump the system until the air bubbles stop coming out. After removing the air, wrap the stem, remove the hose and put the plug on the nozzle fitting.
In a variant version, a fuel filter with a modified design of the priming pump is installed, in which air is removed by pressing the rod without unscrewing it.
