Battery electrolyte level (VAZ-2105)

The electrolyte level should be between the "MIN" (Fig. 38) and "MAX" marks on the translucent battery body. Deviations from the specified electrolyte level parameters may lead to both a malfunction in the battery and to an electrolyte splash with damage to the paintwork of the body parts.

ATTENTION! Due to the fact that electrolyte is an aggressive liquid, the impact of which is dangerous for your health and for the car parts, we recommend that the battery be serviced at certified service stations.

Always keep the battery terminals and clamps clean and securely connected. Remember that oxidation of terminals and clamps, as well as careless connections, cause sparking at the point of unreliable contact, which can lead to failure of the vehicle's electronic equipment. It is also not allowed to check the generator's performance with the engine running by removing the clamps from the battery.

When installing the battery on the vehicle, make sure that the wires are connected in accordance with the polarity indicated on their ends and the battery terminals (the positive terminal is larger than the negative one).
