Removing the cylinder head cover (see Replacing the cylinder head cover gasket).
We expose the mark of the camshaft gear opposite the tide of the bearing housing.
Removing the alternator belt (see Replacing the alternator drive belt), coolant pump pulley (see Coolant pump replacement).
Remove the camshaft drive chain tensioner (see Replacing the camshaft drive chain tensioner).
Unlock and unscrew the camshaft sprocket bolt (see Replacing the camshaft and valve levers).
Remove the chain from the camshaft sprocket (see Replacing the cylinder head gasket).
Removing the crankshaft pulley (see Replacing the front crankshaft seal).
key «on 10» unscrew the three bolts securing the oil pan to the cover,..
... as well as six bolts and three nuts securing the camshaft drive cover to the block.
Remove the cover from the engine.
key «at 17» unscrew the bolt securing the tensioner shoe...
...and remove the tensioner shoe.
We bend the edge of the lock washer of the bolt of the oil pump drive sprocket...
...and the key «at 17» unscrew the bolt securing the oil pump drive sprocket.
Remove bolt with washers.
Let's take an asterisk.
key «on 10» unscrew the chain stop pin and remove it.
Remove the camshaft drive chain.
Remove the sprocket from the crankshaft (see Disassembly of the crankshaft).
We install new parts of the camshaft drive mechanism in the reverse order. Then we press on the tensioner shoe with a finger, pulling the chain.
We check the simultaneous alignment of the marks on the sprockets of the crankshaft and the cylinder block (chain removed for clarity), as well as marks on the camshaft sprocket and bearing housing (see Adjusting the gap between the levers and camshaft cams).
Loading the chain tensioner (see Replacing the camshaft drive chain tensioner), install it in its original place and pull the chain with it.
