Note. The description of the work is given with partial disassembly of the door. If necessary, the door can be removed after dismantling all its elements.
An assistant will be needed to complete the job.
Removal
1. Remove the rear door trim (see "Rear door trim - removal and installation").
2. Remove the plastic film from the door.
3. Remove the wire terminal from the negative terminal of the battery (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
4. Disconnect the wiring block of the central lock switch (see "Rear door lock - removal, installation and adjustment").
5. Disconnect the door opening limiter from the pillar (see above, "Rear door opening limiter - removal and installation").
Warning! To avoid deformation of the door, do not open it wide after detaching the door stop. An assistant should support the door during the following operation.
6. With a socket wrench by 13 mm unscrew the two door mounting bolts (one on each loop) and remove the door from the car.
Recommendation: When replacing a door, install the new door on the vehicle before painting and assembly to ensure that it does not require straightening.
Installation
We install the door in reverse order.
