You will need: Brake fluid, a clean cloth (rag).
Warnings:
- When the brake fluid level in the reservoir drops, the control lamp lights up red in the instrument cluster, signaling an emergency condition of the service brake system. It is recommended to check the level before each trip and, if necessary, add fluid to the reservoir without waiting for the control lamp to light up. If the brake fluid has to be added to the reservoir quite often, this indicates a leak in the hydraulic drive. Immediately contact specialists or fix the problem yourself.
- Use only brake fluids recommended by the manufacturer (see appendix 2).
- Please note that when installing the tank cap with a float, the liquid level in the tank increases slightly due to the volume of the float.
- Take precautions when working with brake fluid: it is toxic. If brake fluid gets on wires, plastic or painted body parts, it can cause damage. Therefore, always put clean rags under when pouring. If the liquid gets on these parts, wipe them off immediately with a clean rag.
- Do not reuse the fluid drained from the system: it is contaminated, saturated with air and moisture. Always add only new fluid of the same brand that was previously poured into the system.
- Brake fluid is hygroscopic (absorbs moisture from the surrounding air), therefore it cannot be stored in an open container.
Remove the spare tire (see subsection 2.10, operations 1-4). Check the brake fluid level in the reservoir. It should reach the lower edge of the filler neck.

If the level is low, unscrew the tank cap, holding the sensor body with your hand, and...

...remove the cover assembly with the brake fluid level sensor.

Add brake fluid to a level of 4-5 mm from the lower edge of the filler neck of the reservoir (mark "MAX"). Screw on the reservoir cap.

Remove any spilled brake fluid from the reservoir and its cap.

Check the operation of the brake fluid level sensor installed in the tank cap. To do this, turn on the ignition, then press the button on the tank cap.

The low brake fluid warning light should light up in the instrument cluster. If the light does not light up, contact a specialist - most likely the sensor is faulty.
