Disconnect the wire from the "–" terminal of the battery.

The front buffer is secured to the front body panel with two bolts.

The sides of the buffer are attached to the body with special bolts, washers and nuts.

1. Disconnect the wiring harness to the turn signals.

2. Unscrew the nut securing the turn signal ground wire. This nut is also the lower mount for the headlight.

3. Remove the ground wire tip from the headlight mounting stud.

4. Loosen the front buffer side mounting nut.

5. Remove the bolt with the washer and nut from the bumper groove and body bracket. Repeat steps 1–5 on the other side of the bumper.

6. Remove the two bolts securing the bumper to the front body panel (one is shown).

7. Use a screwdriver to press the two buffer latches located at the top of the buffer at the level of the inner edges of the headlights, moving the buffer towards you.

8. Remove the bumper from the vehicle.

9. If necessary, unscrew the turn signal mounting screws and remove it from the buffer (see subsection 8.5.2.).

10. Install the turn signals on the front bumper and install it on the vehicle in the reverse order of removal.
