1. Outline the washers of the hood mounting bolts to the hinges (to ensure that the hood is installed in the same place if the hood is not removed for replacement).
2. Remove the two bolts securing the hood to the hinge (ask an assistant to hold the hood). Repeat the operation for the second hood hinge and remove it from the car.
3. Install the hood in the reverse order of removal. Before finally tightening the hood mounting bolts, check the fit of the hood to the body. The gaps around the entire perimeter of the hood should be the same. Check the reliability of the hood lock and the ease of its opening. If necessary, adjust the position of the lock (see subsection 9.5.4.).
