Replacing the hood lock (VAZ-11113)

You will need:

• key "10"
• screwdriver

1. Loosen the six screws securing the radiator grille and remove it (see subsection 9.4.).



2. Outline the contours of the castle (to facilitate subsequent adjustment).



3. Loosen the screw securing the rod housing holder and remove the holder.



4. Unscrew the two nuts securing the hood lock, remove the two spring washers and the lock.





5. Remove the end of the tie rod housing from the slot in the hood lock housing.

6. Remove the hood lock drive rod end from the lock lever.



7. Install the lock in the reverse order of removal. Before finally tightening the lock mounting nuts, adjust its position (moving the lock in the desired direction) so that the hood is securely locked and can be easily opened (see subsection 9.5.4.).




8. Lubricate the hood lock with grease.
