To complete the work you will need a new clamp with an internal diameter of 46 mm.
Removal
1. Place the vehicle on an inspection pit or overpass (see "Preparing a car for maintenance and repair").
2. On a car with a carburetor engine, use a socket wrench by 13 mm we unscrew the nut of the clamp, holding the bolt from turning with a wrench of the same size, and move the clamp towards the additional muffler.

3. Apply penetrating lubricant with rust converter to the junction of the inlet pipe and additional muffler and let the connection "soak".

4. Using a hammer and a wooden block, strike the end of the front additional muffler to move it away from the exhaust pipe.

5. On vehicles with a fuel injection system, remove the additional mudguard (see "Mudguard - Removal and Installation") and an oxygen concentration sensor (see "Oxygen Concentration Sensor - Checking and Replacing").
With a spanner on 13 mm we unscrew the two bolts securing the flange of the inlet pipe to the flange of the neutralizer and disconnect them.

A metal-graphite sealing ring is installed at the connection between the neutralizer and the inlet pipe.

6. With a socket wrench on 13 mm we unscrew the bolt securing the clamp of the inlet pipe to the bracket on the gearbox.

7. Using a slotted screwdriver, bend back the edges of the two locking plates of the nuts securing the intake pipe to the exhaust manifold.

8. With a socket wrench on 13 mm we unscrew the four nuts, remove the locking plates and the flange of the inlet pipe from the manifold studs.

9. Remove the sealing gasket from the studs.

10. By turning the intake pipe, we bring it down into the space between the clutch housing and the middle steering rod.
Installation
1. Apply graphite grease to the connection point of the inlet pipe with the additional muffler and threaded connections.
2. Replace the sealing gasket with a new one.
3. On vehicles with an injection system, replace the metal-graphite sealing ring.
4. Installation of the inlet pipe is performed in the reverse order.
Attention! Do not forget about the need to lock the nuts securing the pipe to the manifold.
