Removal and installation
- to remove, place the car on a lift and drain the oil from the engine crankcase by unscrewing the drain plug;
- unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the engine crankcase splash guard;
- loosen the engine mount nuts;
- install the A.70526 crossmember in the gutters of the front wings and secure the crossmember supports with nuts;
- lift the engine by the front eye;
- unscrew the crankcase mounting bolts, remove the crankcase and sealing gasket;
- unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the oil pump from the engine.
Install the oil pump in the reverse order.

Disassembly and assembly
Carefully secure the oil pump in a vice, unscrew the screws securing the inlet pipe and remove it together with the oil pressure reducing valve. Remove cover 5 (see fig. 34), remove shaft 10 of the pump with drive gear 8 and driven gear 6 from housing 7.
Assemble the pump in the reverse order. After assembling the pump, when turning the drive shaft 10, the gears should rotate smoothly and without jamming.
