Since 1986, the starter 35.3708 has been mainly used in cars (see Fig. Starter 35.3708) with an end collector. The circuit diagram for its connection is shown in Fig. 7–15.
Until 1986, the ST-221 starter was used, which differs from the 35.3708 starter by its cylindrical manifold and therefore has a different rear design (see Fig. Rear part of the starter ST-221). In addition, it has a different stator winding, consisting of two series and two shunt coils.
Until 1985, the starter circuit did not use the additional relay 8 (see subsection 12.14), the "50" plug of the starter was connected with a red wire through the mounting block to the "50" terminal of the ignition switch.
