Installing the camshaft oil seal holder

1. Secure the camshaft bearing housing to the assembly jig.
2. Lubricate the bearing journals and camshaft lobes with engine oil and install it into the bearing housing.
3. Attach the thrust flange and holder with seal to the bearing housing without tightening the mounting nuts.
4. Install a special mandrel for centering the seal holder relative to the camshaft and, pressing the seal holder against the stops of the device, tighten the holder fastening nuts. In this case, the non-parallelism of the lower plane A of the holder relative to the lower plane B of the camshaft bearing housing will be maintained at no more than 0.15 mm.
5. Remove the mandrel and attach the pulley to the camshaft without tightening the mounting bolt.
Attention! The camshaft pulley mounting bolt must be installed using sealant according to TU 6-10-1048-73 or sealant TV-1215 from "Three Bond".
