Removal and installation of carburetor 21051-1107010 (VAZ-21051)

Removal and installation of the carburetor is performed only on a cold engine.

It is recommended to avoid frequent removal of the carburetor.

1. Remove the air filter. Disconnect the throttle actuator rod, the air damper actuator rod and housing, and the fuel supply hose from the carburetor. Loosen the screw and remove the carburetor heating unit.

2. Disconnect the electrical wires of the forced idle economizer from the carburetor.

3. Loosen the carburetor mounting nuts, remove the carburetor and plug the inlet opening of the intake manifold.

4. Install the carburetor in the reverse order. The tightening torque of the carburetor mounting nuts is 12.8–15.2 N·m (1.3–1.5 kgf·m).
