Fuel supply devices to the carburetor
1 – fuel pump; 2 – hose to the carburetor; 3 – carburetor; 4 – rear tube; 5 – fuel level and reserve indicator sensor; 6 – safety shield; 7 – tank ventilation tube; 8 – fuel tank; 9 – gaskets; 10 – fuel tank mounting clamp; 11 – front tube; 12 – fine fuel filter
Removal and installation
1. Drain the gasoline from the tank.
2. Remove shield 6.
3. Remove the hoses connecting the fuel tank to the filler neck, disconnect the wires and hose from the fuel level sensor 5, unscrew the mounting bolts and remove tank 8.
4. Install the fuel tank in the reverse order.
Cleaning and control
1. Remove the fuel level sensor from the tank. To remove dirt and deposits, flush the tank with gasoline. Then flush and steam the tank with hot water to remove any remaining gasoline.
2. Carefully inspect the tank along the joint line and make sure there are no leaks. If there is a leak, solder it with soft solder.
3. You can only solder a well-washed and steamed tank that does not contain gasoline vapors, so that there is no ignition during soldering.
