Removing the air filter
The arrows indicate the nuts securing the filter housing to the carburetor.
The car has an air filter with thermostat 3 (see fig. Air filter parts). By shifting the damper 13 of the thermostat, depending on the ambient temperature, the intake 2 is manually closed and warm air is opened from the air intake 12, or vice versa.
Attention! An air filter with a thermostat controlled by a thermal force element can be installed on some of the produced cars. In addition, there is a damper 13 pneumatic actuator, which at idle speed of the engine provides air supply only from the air intake 12.
Removal and installation
1. To remove the air filter, remove its cover, remove the filter element, unscrew the fastening nuts and remove the filter housing with the thermostat assembly. Then disconnect the hoses from it.
2. The filter is installed in the reverse order.
