Removal the air filter

The arrows indicate the nuts that secure the filter housing to the carburetor.
The vehicle is equipped with an air filter with a thermostat 3 (see Fig. Air filter parts). By rearranging the valve 13 of the thermostat, depending on the ambient air temperature, the intake 2 is manually closed and access to warm air from the air intake 12 is opened, or vice versa.
Attention! Some vehicles may be equipped with an air filter with a thermostat controlled by a thermal power element. In addition, there is a pneumatic actuator for the valve 13, which, when the engine is idling, supplies air only from the air intake 12.
Removal and installation
1. To remove the air filter, remove its cover, take out the filter element, unscrew the fastening nuts and remove the filter housing with the thermostat assembly. Then disconnect the hoses from it.
2. The filter is installed in reverse order.
