Remove the pump from the engine and disconnect its housing from the cover. Fix the cover in a vice, remove the impeller from the roller with a puller A.40026 (pic. 21) and hub 1 (pic. 22) fan pulley using puller А.40005/1/5
Release locking screw 9 (see fig. 20), remove the bearing with the shaft and remove the oil seal from the cover using a conventional mandrel.
Then remove deposits from the impeller and housing, clean the parts. Check the axial play of the bearing with the shaft, especially if there was significant pump noise. Axial play should not exceed 0.13 mm at a load of 5 kgf. During repair, replace the seal with a new one. Deformations and cracks on the pump housing and cover are not allowed.
Assembly of the pump - in the reverse order of disassembly. Do not allow distortion when installing in the stuffing box cover. Press the bearing with the roller into the cover so that the seat of the locking screw coincides with the hole in the cover of the pump housing. After tightening the bearing stop screw, caulk the contours of the screw so that it does not loosen.
Using tool A.60430 (pic. 23) press the pulley hub onto the shaft, keeping the size (84,4±0,1) mm (see fig. 20), as well as the impeller, providing a gap of 0.9-1.3 mm.
When installing the pump on the engine, replace the gasket between the pump and the cylinder block.
