Tailgate — Design Description (VAZ-2108)

It is hung on the rear roof beam with two loops 3 (figure 162). Gaskets 2 and 4 are installed under the hinge links. The lock is attached to the bottom of the inner door panel. The lock retainer is attached to the upper crossbar of the rear of the body. Enlarged holes in the retainer allow you to adjust its position on the crossbar. In the open position, the door is held by non-separable gas-filled stops 6. The rear window of the tailgate is sealed with a rubber seal.
